JJS ATTORNEYS
RECOGNIZED AS AMONG TOP IN THE NATION
Janet, Jenner & Suggs attorneys continue to be recognized as some
of the nation’s top lawyers,
Principals Howard Janet and
Robert Jenner were named “Maryland Super
Lawyers”® for 2008. This is the second consecutive year
they earned this recognition. Jenner was also named among the “Top
50” Super Lawyers® in Maryland.
In addition, Stephen Offutt,
also a partner in the firm, was named to the 2008
Super Lawyers® list.
Super Lawyers® identifies the top five percent of attorneys in the
state using a rigorous peer review selection and balloting process, conducted
by Law & Politics. Nominees are selected by a survey of their peers
and evaluated for their professional achievement and accomplishments in
their respective areas of practice.
Principal Ken Suggs again
made the list of “Best Lawyers,” an
annual publication that evaluates and ranks the nation’s top attorneys
based on peer-reviews and other professional criteria. Suggs has been listed
since 1991.
In July, Suggs received the
Harry M. Philo Award from the American Justice Association (formerly
the Association of Trial Lawyers of America), the organization’s highest honor. The award is presented annually to
a person who has made “an outstanding contribution to the safety
and protection of American consumers and our civil justice system,” according
to AJA.
Suggs also received the Founders
Award from the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association. The annual award recognizes that member of the South
Carolina Trial Lawyers Association whose work in the law for more than
30 years has made him a leader of the trial bar, one of America’s
great teachers of trial advocacy, and who has earned the highest reputation
in terms of ethics and honesty in the legal community. |
